...and the Web Mistress

Rock Reviews.net was founded in early 2002 as a way in which to assemble a few hundred music reviews into one central place. Hosted graciously by Turtlehut.com, Rock Reviews has grown into a more concise and more complete review site not to mention an obsession of perfection for certain web mistresses.

Brought to you by 27-year-old Shelly (aka "lambchops" across most of the web), Rock Reviews is her second .com undertaking, the first being sevencagedtigers.com. She works in the "real world" as a computer systems specialist and web designer for a small department in a huge university and has been a lifelong fan of both writing and rock music.

Shelly discovered rock and roll at the tender age of ten thanks to the smooth, hair metal of none other than Bon Jovi (and Slippery When Wet). As years passed, her tastes developed stopping to pause at the glory that was grunge, enjoying alternative rock, kickin' it old school with classic rock and eventually ended up liking a little of everything with a dash of indie, electronica, and various experimental genres thrown in.

The creator of this site came by writing naturally, though has never been published by a "real" music outlet despite her freelance and college newspaper experience. Shelly's first real story was about her dog, and her life's goal is to assemble a collection of her journals from a particularly difficult time in her life. In the meantime, writing about music will have to suffice.

Expect tons of reviews; her nearly 900 CD collection is still growing and changing. If you have any suggestions about music you think she'd like you can e-mail Shelly at: shelly@rockreviews.net.
